Stan Kubis
Chief Technology Officer
As Chief Technology Officer of the YMCA of Metro Atlanta, Stan Kubis and his team are responsible for ensuring that the Y’s information technology strategy and operations continue to innovate, adapt and evolve, enabling best-in-class services and products that strengthen Atlanta communities where everyone belongs. Stan joined the Y in 2021 and reports to President & CEO Lauren Koontz. He has extensive experience as an IT executive, with a proven track record of delivering customer-focused solutions from strategy development to project execution and operations. Prior to joining the Y, Stan served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Boys & Girls Clubs of America. At BGCA, Stan was responsible for IT strategy and developing sponsor partnerships to support improvements in organizational capability and services. Stan has also held global leadership roles at Plexus Corp., and Kimberly-Clark Corp., and was a consulting manager at Arthur Andersen.
As a volunteer and board member, Stan provides strategic planning and counsel for leveraging technology to improve organizations’ capabilities to serve the community. Currently, Stan is an advisory board member for Arreva, a software provider to nonprofits, and to the Salvation Army of Canada.
A native of New York, Stan holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. John’s University and completed the Harvard Strategic Leadership Program and the University of Chicago Booth School of Business CIO Institute program. He is married and has two grown children. Among Stan’s interests and accomplishments are playing guitar, fly fishing, gardening, and keeping reef tanks.
