The YMCA of Metro Atlanta hosted its ‘Color my World’ event on Saturday, April 13 to celebrate community service contributions and artistic creativity of more than 150 middle school and teen leaders, representing 13 branches of the YMCA of Metro Atlanta. The event featured an art gallery showcasing artwork and service projects created by middle school and teen artists.
Following the art gallery viewing, the Y hosted an award ceremony honoring the commitment and contributions of the Middle School Community Service Club and Teen Leaders Club members. The Teen of the Year award was presented to one teen leader from each branch who demonstrates dedication to community service and embodies the Y’s values of honesty, respect, caring, and responsibility.
This event highlights the significance of youth engagement in both community service and artistic endeavors. The leadership-development programs offered by the YMCA of Metro Atlanta impart valuable life skills and leadership qualities to teenagers through service.
