YMCA of Metro Atlanta Hosting Sixth Annual Days of Service Events on Sept. 8 & 9
Organization partners with Gas South, JLL and Sterling Seacrest Pritchard to complete service projects for Atlanta communities
The YMCA of Metro Atlanta is hosting this year’s Days of Service events on Friday, Sept. 8 and Saturday, Sept. 9 in partnership with Gas South, JLL and Sterling Seacrest Pritchard. The organizations will bring together volunteers from across the metro Atlanta area to complete service projects benefiting neighbors and partners in need.
“Through our annual Days of Service events, the Y partners with individual and corporate volunteers to make a significant impact on organizations and residents in need,” said Lauren Koontz, president and CEO of the YMCA of Metro Atlanta. “These events reflect our commitment to meeting community needs and creating positive change across Atlanta.”
Service opportunities include beautification projects, food packing and distributions, and preparing hygiene kits, among other events. Volunteer shifts are available at various Y locations, including the East Lake Family YMCA, Cowart Family YMCA, McCleskey-East Cobb Family YMCA, J.M. Tull-Gwinnett Family YMCA, Ed Isakson/Alpharetta Family YMCA and more.
“Creating meaningful change is a collective endeavor and that’s why we’re excited to collaborate with other businesses to lend a helping hand,” said Kevin Greiner, president and CEO of Gas South. “Community service is embedded in our mission at Gas South, so we’re always on board to further those efforts whenever an opportunity arises.”
