National Mentoring Month not only offers us a chance to celebrate the mentoring relationships that are cultivated across our Association, but also provides us an opportunity to pause and remember why mentoring matters.
Youth are five times more likely to graduate if they have a meaningful relationship with an adult, and kids who have mentors are 50% less likely to use drugs, according to MENTOR: The National Mentoring Partnership.
Through the Reach & Rise Mentoring Program at our Northwest Family YMCA, the Y is helping young people realize their full potential.
