Description:
Day camp at Camp High Harbour at Lake Burton introduces children to our timeless traditions (Morning Assembly, Swimming in Lake Burton, Bunbusting and more!) and our core values (caring, honesty, respect, responsiblity). It’s the perfect way for campers of all ages to become a part of the wider Camp High Harbour community. Along with newfound confidence and independence, children gain a strong sense of community as they take part in daily activities, including arts and crafts, sports and games, hiking, climbing, swimming, and boating!

  • Day Camp will be offered weekly Monday-Friday, Sessions 1-8. Campers must register by week. Camp runs from 9am-4:30pm.
  • Campers must register per week, there is no daily or part-time rate.
  • Drop Off is daily between 9am-9:30am, Pick-Up is daily between 4pm and 4:30pm.
  • Arrival and Departure may be done by boat or car. This MUST be indicated during registration to ensure we are staffed appropriately. Changes can be made in writing or due to inclement weather.
  • Car Drop-Off/Arrival will happen at the Dining Hall.
  • Boat Drop-Off/Arrival will occur on the Waterfront.


Grade Levels:
Entering Kindergarten in the Fall of 2023 through entering 5th grade in the Fall of 2023.

  • Campers MUST be fully potty trained and able to dress themselves completely. No before or after care.
  • Cost: $350 per week
  • Deposit: $50 per week, non-refundable.
  • Cancellation Policy: Follows the same calendar as Overnight Camp.
  • Capacity: 30 campers per session
  • Forms: All the same forms as overnight camp
  • Registration: Opens January 31st
  • Drop Off: 9:00am-9:30am
  • Pick-Up: 4:00pm-4:30pm

What:
Here is a breakdown of a camp daily schedule:

  • 9-9:30am Check-In
  • 9:30-10am Morning Assembly
  • 10am-11am First Skill
  • 11am-12pm Second Skill
  • 12pm - 1pm Lunch
  • 1pm-3pm Boats & Waterfront
  • 3pm-3:30pm Snack
  • 3:30pm-4:00pm Devo
  • 4:00pm-4:30pm Check-Out

Campers should pack with them daily: (Label all items with Camper First and Last Name)

  • Swimsuit
  • Towel
  • Sunscreen (preferably spray sunscreen)
  • Extra change of Dry Clothing
  • Water Bottle
  • Backpack to carry their belongings
  • Campers will have the ability to visit the camp store each day for additional snacks or camp swag.

Groupings:
There is a maximum of 30 campers allowed per week in day camp. Camper groups will be based on age and number of campers registered.

Staff:
There will be 2 Program Directors assigned to Day Camp, including 4 additional staff. This will give Day Camp a ratio of 1:5.
