The Villages at Carver YMCA Teams Up with the Atlanta Braves Foundation to Host Food Drive
The Villages at Carver Family Y recently teamed up with the Atlanta Braves Foundation, Chick-fil-A, C.H.O.I.C.E.S. for Kids, MUST Ministries, Urban Recipe, and the Atlanta Community Food Bank to giveaway 300 boxes of fresh produce and Chick-fil-A sandwiches to the surrounding community.
Dubbed the Home Plate Project, the food drive was organized by the Atlanta Braves Foundation as part of its ongoing effort to increase food sovereignty and support hunger relief across the diverse communities in the region.
“We are proud to partner with one of our long-time partners – the Braves – to support the community in this way,” said James Carroll, Carver Family Y Branch Executive Director. “We know the families in this community have a need and we are proud to serve the community and give back to it."
